Making this gradient painting was a very long process. First, I had to get a picture that I liked and thought would look good when edited. Then, I brought the photo into photoshop and changed to look splotchy and monochromatic. I looked through many different colors and finally decided that a monochromatic purple would look the best. Next, I projected the image and traced it onto a large piece of paper. After, numbering the shades based on the shade of purple, I finally got to paint. I started with the darkest shade of purple and kept on adding white paint until I got to the lightest. I made sure that any areas that needed another layer got it and checked to see if there were any white spots. After I was satisfied with the way it looked, I finished my painting.
